Me, wife and daughter in that order on this page but the pecking order is flexible at other times!

I am 62 years old, sometimes feel older, most times feel younger. I've been retired since 1992 when I opted for early retirement and voluntary redundancy from British Petroleum whilst working offshore as a production supervisor in the Forties Field. I had been employed offshore by BP since 1978 when I joined the company as a production technician. Prior to that, I worked as a production operator with the International Synthetic Rubber Co. in Grangemouth for 12 years, latterly working in the pilot plant on the development of synthetic rubber and plastics. After four years as a technician offshore I was promoted to production supervisor and stayed in that position until I retired. (More to follow at a later date)

My wife Anne is slightly younger than me, I won't say by how much, and that is one of my favourite photos of her, taken in the Union Street Gardens in Aberdeen. One of her main interests is gardening and she has overtaken me in that field and is the main gardener in the family. (More to follow at a later date)

Jacqueline is our daughter and she is in her thirties. She graduated in geology and mineralogy from Aberdeen University and spent 9 years with a site investigation company as their geologist. The last 2 years she has been employed as a geologist with a large consultancy firm. (More to follow at a later date)
