What is the The Traditional Saturday School ?

The Traditional Saturday School method was researched and developed over several years before being established in 1989.

It helps children to improve their reading, spelling and handwriting skills: areas of great concern to most parents, and crucially important to your child's education.

Each course runs for 10 weeks and children attend for two hours each week.

Children from the age of 7 to 12 are catered for. There is a Junior and Senior course, based on different age groups.

The Traditional Saturday School enables parents to give their children the benefit of high quality private tuition at reasonable cost and without long-term commitment.

The success of The Traditional Saturday School is due to good teaching and the small numbers of children taught at each session (not more than six to a tutor, ensuring time and attention for each child.) All tutors are qualified and experienced teachers, and are carefully vetted by The Traditional Saturday School to standards set out by the Association of Tutors Incorporated.

The methods used will be effective, thorough and completely acceptable to your child's school. As the name suggests the course has a traditional "back to basics" approach. We provide a supportive, purposeful atmosphere for learning. You only have to read what our parents say to see that our children benefit time after time from their course. They gain in confidence and enthusiasm, and this motivation spills over into their school work, which is what we all want to see!

Above all, children enjoy the course and take pride in their progress.
