Non-Residential Support

Non-residential care comes in varying forms and dependent on the area in which it is delivered the cost can change. The provision may range from zero to the full cost of delivery which could be as high as £85 per week.

The Scottish Executive are aware of this variation and are expecting a voluntary code to be established to bring a common approach in all areas.

The provision of care in the home is what most elderly people would like and the support offered can range from:-
  • Home carers
  • Cleaning & laundry
  • Meals on wheels
  • Local retailers' meal provision
  • Day Care Centres
  • Night sitting
  • Alarm service
  • Provision of equipment
  • Home adaptions
