John Henderson started his working career in the manufacturing industry working first in the motor industry then spending a decade in the electronic sector as Engineering, Production and then General Manager. He then took a move into the wider manufacturing sector and for over a decade John worked in the area of business development and consultancy support. This work focusing principally on transportation, logistics, and supply chain management.

During this period John has been associated with the setting up and running of two Trade Associations with a particular focus on Logistics & Supplychain Management, the other on Advanced Transport Telematics.

In May 1999 John made the decision to set up his own consultancy business and established Supply Chain Support Ltd. from which he provided support to a growing number of clients. This period also saw significant diversification in the support given resulting in the forming of SCSupport Ltd. in 2002. This company has a series of divisional activites as detailed on the website.

Externally John sites on several Boards or Committees, two of which he currently holds the Chairmanship.
