This is a dual registered home offering the highest quality of care for its residents. We have a dedicated and skilled staff of 23 under the expert management of the Mr & Mrs Johnston. The home is well established and appointed with open outlooks to the Eildon Hills. With a garden to enjoy in the summer this is the ideal location for care in the Central Borders.

The home has 11 separate private rooms all with en-suite facilities, although there are other bathroom facilities available when more extensive care is required. In the private rooms there are facilities for making hot drinks and snacks, with a washing up basin adjacent to the work surface. The individual room are furnished but we allow for residents to bring some personal items to personalise the room.

The home provides the resident with varied and well prepared food from our modern kitchen. This is served in an attractive dining room with friendly surroundings. Only when the resident is unwell do we encourage meals to be taken in the private areas.

The home is well served by the doctors from the local Health Centre. There is always a nurse on duty for those requiring nursing home care and residents can be assured that all there personal and nursing needs will be expertly delivered at all times.

Our aim is to provide the resident with a home that is active, stimulating and allows them to participate in the local community and the house at a level that suits their age and energy. St John's will also provide the comfort in knowing that as the residents needs change so can our care provision. No need to have to consider a move to another location, no need to have to loose friends or become acquainted with new staff.
