Crab DB991288 lying wheel-less in Perth North Yard Prior to preservation.

SEng operates a single Crab to provide the ability to allow the movement of looses materials  to the site of engineering works.

DB991288 has been repaired and from the state shown in the above: it is now mounted on wheel sets recovered from Grampus wagon which was being scrapped and is fit to move.

DB991288 has seen service as a barrier vehicle during the railway's diesel gala and on engineering support tasks.
