Normally before buying a wagon you want to check that it is intact and fit for purpose.  Once checked you need to move it to your chosen preserved railway normally by road.  SEng has now been responsible for surveying 10 Vehicles and the movement of seven including most of its own wagon fleet and vehicles for both the its partners and other customers.

Capabilities

On Site Survey
At your request SEng can arrange site visits to Survey your vehicle's condition and suitability of the site for loading.  SEng's internal expertise is backed by partners with years of experience in both preservation and the rail industry.
Front-end Engineering and Project Management of Movement
SEng is able to apply knowledge of the capabilities of various resources to determine the most efficient method of moving vehicles.  These include assessment of site access to determine what equipment can get onto site, assessment of ground conditions  and overhead obstructions.  After completing an assessment of the site SEng can design and document a method for removing your wagon which can be implemented by SEng on your behalf or by yourself.
If required SEng can hire suitable equipment to complete your move and manage movement by arranging site access and planning haulage.
SEng has knowledge of ramping vehicles on and off low loaders, crane loading/offloading.
SEng works closely with DFM haulage to handle its normal movements.
Supervision of Loading and Unloading
SEng can provide on site supervision of the loading of your vehicles using the previously agreed method and the offloading at your site.  This may include the preparation of access routes to the loading point or other site preparation prior to the arrival of the haulier.
