Burial Grounds, Churchyards, and Cemeteries The locality is awash with burial grounds. Some remain in good order whilst others have become abandoned and overgrown or have disappeared altogether. The three principal cemeteries serving Plymouth today are ... Efford (opened in 1907) Ford Park (opened in 1848) Weston Mill (opened in 1904)
Burial registers for the above cemeteries remain with the site operators and, in the case of Ford Park, a small fee is charged for searches. Such fees are passed on to the client at cost. Numerous other burial registers are held by the PWDRO and they even hold some lists of monumental inscriptions for Plymouth burial sites that have long since vanished.
