We present a number of pages here where we try to share a few idea’s.
Antenna’s
Use our navigation buttons on the left to look around the site. We have a number of “different” antenna idea’s. Some of these are variations on the famous G5RV doublet. By making adjustments to the antenna and feeder length, the basic operation of the antenna can be retained, but additional useful frequency bands can be made available. Some of these antenna’s are useful for vacations etc where you may want be access 2 or 3 bands without having to travel with an ATU.
Look also at the G3YXM Top Band loop. This really is a cracking antenna for getting onto 160 metres from a very restricted space. With a bit of care to set it up, it performs outstandingly well for 160 and 80 metres at a low height with very little wire in it’s aperture.
Packet Radio
Nick G4ZXI has put together a page that will show you how to get onto Packet Radio and connect your Radio and Computer to the powerful DX Cluster network, and have an extra 1000 pairs of ears listening for you.
