Notes: Occupation - Farmer/cattle dealer. On the 1881 Census, he was living with his parents and siblings at the home of his uncle (also Thomas Shallcross) in Kingsley, Cheshire. At the time of his marriage in 1894, he was living at Cilcain, near Mold, Flintshire. By 1901, he had moved to Northop, also near Mold, where he lived for most of the rest of his life.

Son Stephen's birth certificate gives his name as 'Charles', but on Stephen's marriage certificate his name is given as 'John'.
Unable to find John Shaw on the 1901 Census, but Charles Shaw found in Chester.
Daughter Nellie was born in Chester according to the 1901 Census even though the family lived in Ludlow.
