Site Discontinued

I regret to say that I have now discontinued this site. Don't worry - you aren't missing anything. The site was long out of date and next-to-useless anyway.

I have discontinued this site for several reasons:

• As I have mentioned, it was long out-of-date.
• The statistics I published were next-to-useless, as there were too many factors causing them to be biased. The most notable flaw was that I was only collecting data from one machine that was intermittently connected to the Internet, rather than collating data from several different systems on different networks in different countries.
• The raw data was also fairly useless, as I did not include information on factors that could affect the data, such as when the machine was connected to the Internet.
• The website seemed to attract too many unsavoury characters for my tastes.
• The site seemed to attract a lot of non-constructive criticism, probably mainly from the unsavoury characters.
• Those who took the site seriously seemed to take it too seriously - I noted some individuals making conclusions that were not scientifically sound, based on my statistics. No conclusions should have been drawn from the statistics since, as I previously stated, they are rather useless.
• Some parts of the site were misleading, though this was a fairly small problem that I could easily correct.

This website will not be returning, so you can remove it from your links. I will eventually create a new and improved website about something quite different. Don't hold your breath, however - this will be in about 10 to 15 years time. Also, I will not be placing my new site here.
