My surname tells me something about myself, who my forbears were and possibly where I came from. Research into family history can provide fascinating insights into the past, but raises many more questions than it answers, thus giving greater incentive for further research. This is all part of the attraction of Genealogy. My own paternal forbears I have traced back to the mid 17th.century,I have just started to trace my maternal line back. If anyone can assist me with the following queries,it would assist me greatly.
1.Nathanael Arbor was born in Peterborough England and was baptised at the parish church of St.John on the 26th. May 1776,his mothers name was Elizabeth Arbor. As he is entered in the church register as base born, does anyone know his fathers name?
2.Does anyone know the parish of origin in Huntingdonshire of Edward Arbor of the Huntingdon Militia, who married Elizabeth Shalley at St Johns parish church Peterborough on 17th.November 1760?
