The Annex

The Annex seen here was the first experience of Naval life for tens of thousands of 15 and 16 year old boys. The Annex opened after the first World War when it was built as a Balloon Station.

Here boys underwent their initial training before transferring to the main complex. Shown here is Sunday Divisions. c1953.
