Welcome back to a new term and best wishes to everyone for a happy 2001.
The staff would like to say a big ‘thank you’ for all the gifts they received at Christmas.

Parents Social Evening
A Skittles evening is planned for Friday 23rd March at The Elm Tree pub at Ringwood and everyone is welcome. This is an opportunity for parents to enjoy an evening out together. Tickets will cost about £6, which includes hire of the skittle alley and a basket meal.
If you are interested, please speak to Margaret Chong (tel: 674328) so that we can get an idea of numbers involved.

Postman Pat Theatre Visit
The popular children’s character comes to Poole Arts Centre in April and we are arranging an outing to see the show on Thursday 5th April at the 1.30pm performance.
Tickets will cost £6 each and if you are interested please speak to Margaret Chong as soon as possible so we can book the tickets.

Annual Treasure Hunt
The annual Treasure Hunt will take place during half term week (Feb 19th – 23rd) and all children are welcome to enter.
This is a good fund raising event for the pre-school where the children gain sponsorship for finding each item on the list. Each child completing the treasure hunt will be rewarded with a prize. Forms will be available soon.

Congratulations
We would like to send congratulations to Keith and Sheree Jewitt on the birth of Ryan just before Christmas.

Parents Rota
Just a little reminder to anyone who can help out at Pre-school this term. The rota is on the notice board so please sign up if you can.

Easter Egg Hunt and Bonnet Competition
This years Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Competition will take place on Friday 6th April at Louise Reid’s house, Roseberry, on Ringwood Road. (at the bottom of Burnt House Lane in Bransgore).
A picnic lunch will be required and there will be prizes for the best Easter bonnets.
More information will follow in the next newsletter.

Free Books for Schools
Once again we are participating in the Free Books for Schools offer for 2001. Last year we devoured 2,000 packets of crisps, which enabled us to buy 10 books for the school. We hope to do even better this year if possible, so please, get munching!
Tokens are available on packets of Walkers Crisps, Walkers Lites and Walkers Max as well as in The Sun and News of The World newspapers.
The collecting box has just arrived in the village hall porch so please start collecting now.

School Link Books
Many thanks to all parents who bought books through School Link. We were able to purchase a number of books for the school through your help.
There is a new issue of School Link available so if you haven’t already received a copy and would like one, please speak to a member of staff. Hopefully, your generosity will enable us to purchase more books this year.
