The Hooley line (my wife's family) can be traced back from our current home in Clitheroe, to the city of Manchester, where they reputedly arrived from Ireland. I have managed to trace this line back to around the turn of the 18th century (c1807) and during this time these ancestors have been involved with the coach building industry. The family is outlined below as descendants of the oldest known ancestor, Joseph Hooley.
