(And Surrounding Territories)
BASIC

|
THE CITY |
Original
area of the City before a period of aggressive expansion expanded the
territorial limits of the shrunken Barony.
Most covered with urban development, it is bisected by the river, and
is the site of its lowest bridging point. |
||
|
MARKHAM’S ISLE |
Small
island named after the infamous pirate Capt. William Markham. Site of a lighthouse and not much
else. The Baron controls it de
jure, but pays very little
attention to it. Generations of
pirates have used its caves for a base – now the Mechanists have purchased
control of it. |
||
|
|
A flat and fertile floodplain, its agricultural productivity and proximity to Cyric and Bohn have led to its densely-concentrated population. Administered by a Governor appointed by the Baron. |
||
|
EASTERN
MOUNTAINS |
The
mountains form a chain that makes communication with the world east of the
City difficult. The Cyric/Bohn –
Blackbrook road passes through the mountains, and is defended by several
forts and castles. One of its
numerous abandoned quarries was converted into Cragscleft Prison by the Order
of the Hammer. Administered by a Governor appointed by the Baron. |
|||
|
NORTHERN
TERRITORIES |
Neither
good for farming nor mining, the Northern Territories are nevertheless an
important strategic possession, defending the river, the main artery of trade
in the region, and a major bone of contention between the City and
Blackbrook. Excellent hunting makes
it popular with nobles, despite the war proceeding there against the armies
of Blackbrook. Administered by a
Governor appointed by the Baron. |
