Summer  2011

Thanks to everyone who helped with our two recent fundraising ventures, our sponsored walk, along the Crinan Canal, and our coffee morning.

So far we have raised just over £1000.  We were very fortunate that the weather was kind to us on our journey along the Crinan Canal.

As always we require new volunteer befrienders throughout Argyll & Bute.  Could you spare a few hours each week to befriend a child in your area?


Hello, and welcome to our online brochure giving information about what the Befrienders are and what's involved if you want to join us. Befrienders is an independent voluntary organisation which recruits adult volunteers to offer friendship and support for children aged 7-16 years, living in Argyll and Bute, and experiencing difficulties in some area of their lives.

 

Started in 1989, the project has a committed group of volunteers of all ages and experiences. We are always looking for more volunteers from all walks of life, willing to spend a few hours a week with a child who has been referred to us.
