Made in response to the often-voiced need: "How can I do this at home?" this CD features exercises taught at classes given by Mary Benefiel.
Done in a meditative style, this CD includes the fundamentals of toning and the Indian scale. These exercises help you explore the depths of each note, each sound, as it sings you. The process is one of allowing, not forcing; enjoying, not "trying!" Instead of a dry, mechanical practice, this is divine play -- a chance to create your sound and come alive with music.

Evening Rise
A CD of Sacred Chants and Songs to refresh the spirit
This CD offers some of the songs we do in workshops and chanting classes, capturing their rich glory, as musically as possible.
These chants and mantras from different religious and cultural traditions. Each is a little jewel that invokes a resonance that touches us on a very human level. The music, rich in acoustic sound, is achieved through the voice and a few instruments. The effect is to draw the listener deep into the heart of the music.
