Fee: £100

Every Fintry retreat is governed by a rule of life, which is the recognition of the obedience due to a unitive idea. The element of self-discipline involved promotes order and harmony, which in turn gives rise to a real inner peace.  Retreat life thus restores the soul.

Companionship with those whose deepest interests are similar to one’s own is also valuable, and may enable retreatants to receive a clearer perspective of life.

The pattern of each day includes the celebration of short contemplative rites and discussion of philosophical documents of study.  The timetable allows for solitude as well as for companionship, for recreation as well as for work and study.

Bedding and towels are provided. Vegetarian diet can be arranged, if requested at the time of booking.

Retreatants assist with serving at meal-times, washing-up, and with a minimum of housework, according to their capacity.
