Cosmic Guerilla by Universal.
Well - what can I say - my absolute pride and joy!
It was made in 1979, by Universal. It is the early black and white version, with colour overlays. I believe it to be one of only a handful remaining.
It was the first machine I bought - and if I hadn't located it - I wouldn't have started my collection at all [hmmm....]
Apart from a new speaker, it is completely original and even has its original keys and cash box too.
This is my all time favourite game. It is similar in some respects to Space Invaders, but a lot more challenging!
Get past the first 10 or so screens and it becomes very challenging indeed!
My personal Hi-score is around 136,000 and in 23 years I have never been beaten or walked
away from a Guerilla without taking the hi-score.
It also nearly got me into some pretty dodgy water in one seedy arcade in the centre of Birmingham, some 20 odd years
ago - thanks to Mel for spotting the erupting situation and having the foresight to drag me away from the machine [my hi-score intact - of course!] ... but that's another story!
A log of the repairs carried out on this machine, so far.
A gallery of pictures for this machine - inside and out.
