We can produce web versions of your publication or dual-purpose files that will have web-friendly designs and look good on computer screens. We can also prepare books that will have concurrent editions in different languages.
We create designs to clients' specifications or match the designs of existing titles. If new designs are required, we liaise with photographers and/or artists and prepare mock-ups. For local projects we can take the photos for you.
Our typesetting is of a higher standard than you are likely to obtain from suppliers that outsource offshore. We do it all ourselves and you deal directly with us. Tables, complex mathematical equations and scientific formulae are set to the highest professional standards. Line drawings, graphs, charts and logos can be redrawn in a graphics program for direct incorporation in the electronic page.
Our extensive experience in publishing means that our clients get 'intelligent', error-free typesetting. The high level of typographic control offered by our software ensures that the end-product is accurate, consistent, legible and pleasing to the eye. We avoid ugly typefaces and poor character spacing and, where the budget allows, widows, orphans and excessive or awkward word-breaks. We are meticulous with our 'en' and 'em' rules, ellipses and thin spaces, and know how to enhance a publication by judicious use of ligatures, small caps, kerning and other typographical refinements.
