With the increasing efficiency of modern day appliances, be they wood, coal, gas or oil, lining the chimney is an essential part of the installation of a stove. Chimney linings are available in a variety of forms to suit all situations and circumstances:- terracotta, concrete, stainless steel and pumice - all with there particular features and uses. Additionally, freestanding flue systems provide solutions for those situations where a property has no natural chimney or an appliance is to be sited in a part of the building remote from a chimney facility. With many of the gas stoves now available with balanced or powered flue options there are very few situations where the installation of some sort of stove is not possible.
