£30,000 plus DONATION SWELLS FUNDS

Coventry Building Society has made another donation to the Friends of St. Cross from the highly successful
ST.CROSS SAVER ACCOUNT SCHEME.

The Hospital Open Day celebrated 150 years of St Cross and attracted over 600 visitors.

The friends supported this, opening the tea bar and also running a cake stall and a tombola.

Over £500 was raised by the friends.

Hospital Radio Supported

The Friends are pleased to support the work of the dedicated volunteers who run the hospital radio service.

A new sound desk and audio equipment (£5481) has been purchased by the Friends for this service.

NEW DIABETES UNIT

The new Diabetes Unit is opened on Friday June 27th 2008

£56,000 was given by the Friends towards this new unit.

It is named In Memory of Joan Cox, a ward sister for many years and a dedicated and long serving member of the Friends
