Stars 'n' Stripes Dancers

Stars ‘n’ Stripes Dancers consists of three people - Mervyn Thursby, Barbara Walker and Brian Walker. We all met early in 1996 at Line Dance Classes and formed Stars ‘n’ Stripes Dancers later that same year. After two years of entertaining at various community and charity events all over Northern Ireland, we decided to start organising and performing at our own events. We hosted our first Free Party Night at McConnell’s of Doagh on 30 October 1998 and will have hosted a total of forty-three Free Party Nights by the end of 2004.

Originally an American Country Line Dance Team, we have developed and expanded our range to produce a truly multi-cultural selection of dance medleys.

Our current repertoire includes Spanish, Irish, Scottish, Middle Eastern, Hawaiian and Indian Dance, as well as 1920’s Charleston, 1940’s Swing and 1950’s Rock ‘n’ Roll routines.
