We go back to 1993, when they first hit the UK charts. They were made up of, Dan, Cal, Steve, Aaron and Schelim. Their fame in the UK was patchy after their first few hits. The line up of the band also changes several times which did not help their status in the UK. Some of the guys left the group to take up presenting jobs on TV. One of their songs on the their first album included a song by the title of "Arnold Schwarzenegger". Worlds Apart had a lot more success in other countries in Europe, some of their hit included...

Let Loose
This group went to number one in the UK charts with their first hit, but only on the second time it was released and remixed. They came to fame back in 1994. They consist of Robbie, Richie and Lee the drummer. Their first hit stayed as their biggest, they had a few could hits here in the UK, but with the UK swamped with Boy Bands at the time, their success was patchy.

They lasted for about two years and released tow studio albums and later a hits album. Some Of their hits included...

Crazy For You,Seventeen, Supper, Sexy, Real Thing,Make It With You,Everybody Say Everybody Do etc.

Robbie, Richie and Lee
Lee, the drummer, tasty, lol.
Bad Boys Inc
This band go back to 1994. In the end the only released one album, which was a pity as they were a little more promising than some of the other boy bands at the time. I remember liking their "Walking On Air Video". I also fancied "Tony", the one showing his chest below.
e original line up here, Dan, Cal, Steve, Aaron and Schelim.

Boy Band Graveyard

Welcome to this section of my website!

Please enjoy some of the pics and comments related to just some of the boy bands that have come and gone, never to come again in the UK.

Johnny Hates Jazz

Lead Singer:Clark Datchler.

The three members of the band, Clark Datchler in the middle and the other two guys are called Mike Nocito and Calvin Hayes.
Clark Datchler I thought he was so handsome, lol.

These guys go right back to 1988 when there claim to boy band fame started. They are three guys called Clark Datchler, Mike Nocito and Calvin Hayes. Their first single made them a big hit in the UK and from then on for a whole year they continued to have hits, all the way through 1988 into 1989. Sadly after the first album the original lead singer Clark Datchler, split from the band. The band was never the same after that. Phil Thornalley a former member of the Cure, was brought in after Clark's exit as lead singer, to keep the band going and to make there second album. However the band had hit the rocks by 1992, they couldn't recreate the quality hits of the first album. Some of their hit songs were...

Shattered Dreams, Turn Back The Clock, I Don't Want To Be Hero, Don't Say It's Love etc.

Craig Logan, Matt & Luke Goss.
The Lead Singer, another cutie of his time.

Yet another boy band that started their fame back in 1988. I have no record of the names of each band member I'm afraid. In this country they made two albums and then the lead singer left the group. I believe they had some further success in other parts of Europe for a while with a different lead singer. However I do rmember that at the time of this groups fame, I really didn't half fancy the cute lead singer something wrotten, I think his first name might have been Justin. Some of their hits included...

He Ain't No Competition,My Twin,The Harder I Try etc

Bros

If you were around in the late 80's in the UK, you couldn't forget these three guys, especially the troublesome blonde twins. Fame came with a bang right from the start back in 1988, they comprise of Craig Logan, Matt Goss, Luke Goss. Because fame came to them like a bolt of lightening, the twins just never seemed to manage it properly. Money came in one hand and diappeared out of the other, along with th expensive cars they bought and wrecked. Into their second album Craig Logan decided he had enough of the band and could take no more of the situation, he decided to leave and got a settlement of around about one million pounds, as reported in the neswpapers at the time. Bros continued through with there work on there tour and third album, but somewhere into the early 1990's it all came crashing down on them. The fame stopped and the money dried up. Some of their hits were..

When Will I Be Famous, Drop The Boy, I Owe You Nothing, Cat Amongst The Pigeons, Try etc.

Brother Beyond
Their fame only lasted a few months, as far as I know they only released 2 singles. The first one was called "Change Your Mind". It charted charted in the top 15 of the UK charts. Their brief exposure to fame happened in 1995. As far as I can remember the guys split from the group deciding to follow other projects.
Richard, Chris, Giles and Jamie
Giles I'm a sucker for a blonde, lol.

Do you Remember these guys called themselves "Over The Top", it was only back in 1997. As far as I can recall, they only made one album, some of their hits where...

Story Of Love,

They only had one hit in the UK it was called "Rock Me Good", this was in 1997. I have no record of their names.
Universal
New Kids On The Block

Now here is a boy band that had world wide success for a few years, it started back in1988. They are Jon, Jordan, Joe, Donnie and Danny. I liked some of their songs, for a while everything they released just went straight to the top. Girls just seemed to go wild over Jordan Knight, who went solo eventually many years later after they split in the early 1990's, but with little success. Some of their hits consisted of....

The Right Stuff, Cover Girl, Please Don't Go Girl 4, Hangin Tough, Step By Step, If You Go Away,Tonight etc.

Jon, Jordan, Joe, Donnie and Danny.

This is another UK boy band that started their success in the early 1990's, they had a great deal of success both in this country and others especially in Europe. They consisted of Tony Mortimer, Terry Coldwell, Brian Harvey and John Hendy. They eventaully split up in 1996/97. Some of their hit included...

House Of Love Deep, It's Alright, Steam, Stay Another Day, Gold, Thunder etc.

Fame started for them in 1997, they are made up of Spike Lee and Jimmy. They split up at the end of 1999. They made three studio albums plus a greatesr hits album, some of their hits included...

Don't Make Me Wait, Bodyshakin, The Journey, All I Want Is You, How Do You Want Me To Love You, Party People Friday Night, More Than A Woman, A Little Bit More etc.

Spike, Lee and Jimmy

Well unless you were on another planet or something, you can't fail to remember these guys. These lads may be gone as Take That, but they will always be remembered for being in take that. The fame started for them back in 1992, they had been together as a band for nearly two years before that and where very close o calling it a day as a few singles realeased did not do anything for them. Sadly their worldwide fame, very busy schedule and strict manager left the band tired and worked out, which caused tensions within the band. Eventaully Robbie decided he could take no more and decided to quit the band and the split was a little on the bitter side. In the UK at least they were considered to be the ultimate in boy bands. The departure of Robbie led to the usual speculation that they had reached the end of the road. When Take That announced they were to be no more, back in 1996, it led to a worldwide emotional anxiety on the part of their female fans. Help lines were set up to deal with their fans emotinoal stress. Of course we all know about Robbie's success since leaving the band, along with some limited success from Gary Barlow. Mark went on to release an album that didn't do too bad, but then disappeared out of the business and has since tried his hand at presenting. Whilst Howard and Jason have faded into the background. One of my favourite videos was of course "Pray" and I think one of their best songs was "Back For Good". Some of their hit songs were...

Promises,It Only Takes A Minute,A Million Love Songs, Could It Be Magic,Why Can't I Wake Up With You, Pray,Relight My Fire, Sure, Back For Good,Never Forget etc.

Robbie, Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason.

Some of their hits included...

Love Me For A Reason, Key To My Life, Father & Sonm, A Different Beat, Words, Baby Can I Hold You Tonight, Picture Of You, All That I need, I love The Way You Love Me etc.

Yep it's happened one of the most successful boy bands in the world have decided to cal it a day. They are he richest boy band ever. They made three studio albums and one greatest hits album ending there group boy band domination of the world. The biggest favourite both with the girlies and withus gay dudes was of course the blonde slim cheeky looker Nick Carter. I'm sure some of these guys will know doubt go straight into their own solo career, but which ones will be succesfull and which ones will fall by the boy band wayside looking at their press cuttings of yester year. The next few years will tell I guess! The managed to come up with some very succesful songs which did well in the UK but faired better in the rest of the world, but that was mainly because of the boy band competition that exists in the UK.
Backstreet Boys

Some of their hits included...

Quit Playin' Games With My Heart, Anywhere For You, I'll Never Break Your Heart, Everybody Backstreets Back, As Long As You Love Me, All I Have To Give, Larger Than Life, I Want It That Way, The One, Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely etc.

The bad boys of boy band'em have come to a grinding holt, little did we know that from the start behind the scenes the tears and bad words with each other came faster than concorde and towards the end the fights outside night clubs came too. They always came accross as the laddish band out of all the present day boy bands in the UK and they lived up to that name both on stage and off stage. I see Mr Simon Cowell has aided in producing this boy band, Mr nasty himself, LOL.. Found this little gem of a picture on a site somwhere thought you guys would like them in their fire fighters gear. They did know how to appeal to the homo audience as well as the straight girlie screamers. Some how I think none of these guys will really make it in a solo career in music but i'm sure we'll see them popping up on TV doing something or other in the future or maybe some of them might do some song writing behind the scenes.
Five

Some of their hits were...

Slam Dunk The Funk, When The Lights Go Out, Everybody Get Up, If Ya Gettin' Down, Keep, We Will Rock You, Got The Feelin'

Although they have not as yet decided to annouce that they are calling it a day, I've decided that after over a year off the music scene as "Boyzone", they are effectively no more. Boyzone came onto the music scene back in 1995, they were made of Stephen Gately, Shane Lynch, Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham. There have been rumours for sometime now that there was going to be "Boyzone The Movie", however this looks like this just isn't going to happen . With both Steve and Ronan especailly following successful solo careers, I can't see this happening. Mickey Graham has also launched his solo career with limited success. Whilst Keith and Shane are pursing other interests but have recently released a duet together. Ronan at one point sent female fans wild with the news that he was still a virgin. Steve of course annnounced in the national press that he is gay, which was a brave thing to do.
