Since I got the chance to review one of Roland Danes films, whilst I and Mr Dane were communicating with each other for this interview, I thought it would be a good idea to include some questions about the film. The review I did is on my web site and the link to it, is at the very end of this interview. The questions below refer to the film "Firestarter".

Who came up with the title of this film and what does the title mean exactly?: Our US producer, Scott Masters gave us the title, because I'm not native in the English language. The title means that a clod relationship can burn again.

How did you decide on the location of the film?: I wanted a nice, trendy club for the orgy, and I always like to shoot in new elegant villas.

Fernando Neilson has huge thighs, I've seen slimmer waists how big are they?: He is really huge and very tall. I guess he's about 6'4" and 240 lbs.

I was surprised Fernando would like to bottom looking at his rather large build, is he a softy under all that huge amount of muscle?: He's a very sensitive guy with a soul of a child, very innocent and he's a very nice guy. He's a good friend of mine. He stopped working for other companies; people can see him only in my shows now, except his old movies.

How long did Firestarter take to shoot from start to finish?: With pre organising till, the end of editing 6-7 weeks.

How many cameras due you use when shooting this or other films usually in a scene and what techniques do you like to use when making a film?: Usually we use one big DV cam, sometimes two for cum shots and B-rolls. For me the most important is to have enough good close-ups, but I like totals also, to watch heads and fuck at the same time is exciting, but I guess the audience like close-ups more, that's the trend now.

I found the sex in Firstarter to be quite manly, maybe even butch but not too manly, is that the effect you were trying to make etc?: I like MEN having sex who are hard, so I can feel the vibe of a real man. As I told you before I don't really like girlish men.

Were there any difficulties shooting Firestarter?: I spend always 3 weeks with the organisation before the shoot, so we don't really have difficulties. I guess it's not a big secret Viagra helps a lot even if the models are attracted to each other.

What do you think was the best scene for you personally within this film?: The leather scene between George Caesar and Johnny Huzosh. I loved to watch them!

Feel free to add anything else you want to comment about the whole interview and I will include it etc?: For the people who like me "Many thanks for your support and for watching my movies, I promise I will give you my best as a model and director also as long as I live (don't worry I won't be modelling in my seventies). How easy in "Out of Athens 1" was it, to shoot the outside scene amongst the ruins, whilst you and Brosnan, gave each other some oral stimulation?: It was very easy, fortunately the place was very abandoned so nobody disturbed us and we were not arrested by the police.

Where you and Brosnan as lustful and horny for each other as it looked on screen?: He is a very closed and meditative guy so he was alone out of the scene, but I accepted it and when he was on set, he was excellent.

I was quite amazed at your screen presence in the last scene of "Out of Athens 2", you and Brosnan looked so intimate and your body language was like poetry in motion, did you really enjoy that whole seen, it sure looked it for both of you?: Yes, I learnt to fake it after 6 years in the business, but that was in 2000, and it was real.

Of course you have made many films for Falcon what was your favourite film and why?: OOA, everything was so special in Greece.

In two part films such as "Shocked" and "Violation", which I would say are at least maybe harder edged Falcon films, do you like doing those types of films the most?: I love hard sex in my private life and I love big orgies, but I like to dominate, I hate if anybody wants to dominate me, once I had to beat up a guy who was too pushy, but anyway my tolerance is huge, so he was really a big asshole.

What was it like working with such a big personality like Chi Chi La Rue?: I love Chi Chi. He's the biggest character in porn, we talked a lot, and he's a very intelligent, funny person with a huge heart.

Have you ever bottomed for a scene?: Never. Reason, the domination!

Would you ever bottom for a porn scene?: Nobody can pay that money!

So why did you decide to leave Falcon?: Their ex-model Director fucked up my contract, because he didn't have time to deal with it, so it was a misunderstanding. But I got a Producer and Director Job offer from Studio 2000, so I'm happy for it.

Why did you decide to model for Studio 2000 and what was the first film you did for them?: I don't know the title, I'm sorry. I did it because I got the Director Job. Mr Travis and Mr Masters trusted my abilities and gave me that possibility and I'm very grateful to them.

What made you want to be a director?: I thought my IQ level gives me more chances than just being only a model.

Was it nerve wrecking directing your first film and were you afraid that it would not work out, how did you feel about the whole process the first time around?: I was so nervous. I couldn't sleep for a week before the shoot, but I knew I had to make it well. It was okay not the best, but I guess my movies were getting better film-by-film.

Do you have influences from other porn studios and directors, just looking at some of the front covers of the films you have directed, I see maybe a hint of Kristen Bjorn for instance?: I hope I have my own style, I don't want to copy anybody. I learnt a lot from John Travis, John Rutherford and Chi Chi Larue, but I don't want to copy them.

Since I have not yet come across your Studio 2000 films to review, just by looking at some of the reviews online and the front covers of your films I can easily see that you have a keen eye for the right type of good looking men. How do you find you models and what are all the qualities you look for?: There is a rule in gay porn.2 of 3 has to be good. The 3 things are, good face, good body and good dick. Fortunately the blood-mix in Eastern Europe is very good, so I'm lucky with my casts.

What method of shooting porn do you use, for instance is every thing in sequence, or say do you do the cum shots first and so on etc?: Usually I shoot the dialogs first, it's good for the guys especially for the newcomers to warm up, then the oral, and anal, with the cum shot at the end of course.

Do you get the models together with each other a while before shooting so they get to know each other?: This business is so small here only a couple of hundred people, so everybody knows everybody. With you being so good-looking and being a porn star as well, does that all help to get the models you direct to feel more comfortable, do some of them even want you to fluff them, LOL?: I was on both sides of the camera so I understand them much more and I can build up a better contact with them, some of them are very good friends of mine, we go to parties together, etc.

What are the differences between producing and directing?: With producing you have to count the money and you have to organise, and to organise a whole show is not that easy (Models, locations, crew, equipment, travel, etc). Plus I have to make the hard decisions sometimes.

Who comes up with the ideas for the films you have directed and produced?: I write the scripts, the ideas come up from life more or less. I like the films which have a bit of story, naturally it can't be War and Peace, but at least the beginning of the sex doesn't look so unnatural and stupid, although in the real life it's a bit more difficult of course.

What projects are you working on at the moment?: I'm working on a big project. We are shooting a boat movie in the Dalmatian sea. I return as a model in it. This is going to be my first show I shoot abroad, and it will be a big hit I hope. We want to win some AVN award finally. I hope they nominate it..

What ambitions and plans do you have for the future?: Beside my gay line I also have a straight line as Roland Dante, and I want to be successful in both. I'd like to win awards and I want to reach everything I can in this business. I'm only 28, so I guess I have time. I don' want to give up this business; this is my love and my life.

A lot of bisexual men like gay porn just as much as they like straight porn, you have mentioned in a past question that you do straight porn as well, would you consider doing bisexual porn, as I think the bisexual men out there would appreciate it?: I would love to make bi porn, because I would love to watch it, but unfortunately the movies in the bi market are very bad now, maybe the reason is that it's not profitable to make them, so they can pay for only some not-the-best-looking-models. I don't want to make low-budget movies, that's bad for the reputation, and a step back.

Is it true that when you and Brosnan took your shirts off in Greece, so many people around you got so interested, that the police had to ask you to put your shirts back on?: No, it's funny! They were interested because they thought we shoot a soap-opera, or something.

Have you ever needed to use a fluffer on set, and if you find yourself having to think of something to help you perform more easily, what is it you think of usually?: I never used. I can focus on my work with 100 percent.

Have you worked with any British men before and what do you think of British men etc?: Never worked. I've been to London a few times and honestly they thought they were the best in the world and that's not true. Passion is missing, but I don't know it generally, because I have had sex with only 5 or 6 British men. So sorry for the passionate British persons!

Do Eastern European models tend to be more passionate than their American counterparts and apart from the classic Eastern European looks, what differences have you noticed between them etc?: Biggest difference, the American dick is cut, I don't like that, and their face is a bit different. I can tell from a face who is American and who is European. I cannot explain about passion, as it depends on the person. I've met lots of passionate Americans and lots of passionate Europeans.

Would past partners say that you're a very passionate sensitive lover, as your openness and body language is so pleasing to the heart and mind?: I cannot imagine sex without passion, and my partners were the same fortunately.

What types of men and women really turn you?: Brad Pitt and Pam Anderson, at the same time.

What do you think about bareback films and the safety of models within the industry on all fronts really etc?: I don't think it's time to do bareback movies, it's a shame on the customers, that they force the moviemakers to risk their life for their pleasure. That's not fair! And those producers are assholes who risk their models lives for bigger profit!

How do you feel about the European Union?: For me it's good, because I can travel easily. For my country it is bad. There is lots of cheap shit from the western multi national companies, which kills the Hungarian economy, but at least they have more market. So the multi nationals win again!

If money was no object and you could produce, direct and maybe even star in such a porn movie, what would be your ideal porn movie to make etc?: I just finished the ideal one in the Mediterranean sea! I got the best models on the best locations. It's ideal.

Apart from your own porn movies or those you have directed and produced, do you have a favourite of someone else's?: The Powertool with Jeff Stryker, directed by John Travis.

Are there any porn stars left that you would really like to get the chance to work with, and if so who are they (you never know they might see this on the internet)?: I love Spanish guys; I want all the best among them in my movies.

Were your teenage years difficult for you to deal with and if so can you remember how you felt about it all?: No it was not difficult, only when my father died, I was 17 then everything changed and I had a very hard life.

Can you remember when you realised that you felt attracted to men and if so how did you realise and how did you feel about it?: I like both sexes, I realized I like guys too, I was 21.It was an accident in a foursome orgy, but I don't mind it, and I never had any problems, I don't care of other people opinion.

Can you remember your first sexual experience and if so, can you please give your fans an insight into some of the detail?: It was with a girl, so I guess fans don't want to hear it.

Can you remember when you came across porn and if so what was it etc?: I finished school and I have no money, I met a guy in the club and he offered me a Translator Production Assistant job in gay movies. Then the former President of Falcon Studios John Rutherford came to Hungary for a shoot, I was his translator, and he asked me to be a Falcon Exclusive. I did my first scene in San Francisco.

To date what is your favourite porn film?: My AVN nominated show, The right Moves, I'm very proud of it.

What type of underwear do you like to wear and why?: I don't wear underwear, it takes my freedom.

From where you come from there seems to be so many good looking men is there a lot of bisexuality/homosexuality for want of a words, without it being labelled as such. Or is it all just wishful thinking, for all of us who don't come from you part of the world, LOL etc?: Hungarians are homophobic, not tolerant and they are so conservative, honestly I hate them!

What did you plan on doing when you left school and what qualifications did you get?: As I mentioned I'm a teacher, and I didn't know what I wanted to be, because porn came during school in 1999.

When did you first start to want to keep fit, or have you always been fit?: I've done sport since 1982, I was a professional Thai-Boxer, so I always did sports and I cannot imagine my life without it.

How often do you workout?: I go to the gym 5 times a week and I have 2 boxing trainings just for fun every week.

Many fans will of course have noticed that you have really excellent skin, certainly on screen it looks as flawless and smooth as it can probably be. Has your skin always been so healthy looking, you're very lucky to have such flawless looking skin I think?: I'm very, very lucky with my skin, thank god!

In your spare time how do you like to enjoy yourself?: I spend lots of time in the gym, boxing with my old training partners, I love to travel. This year I went to Thailand, Mall orca, Amsterdam and London and I will spend July in Ibiza, with my friends.

Possibly, not maybe in your home country as so many men seem to look so gorgeous, but else where in the world, because your looks are so universal in the handsome looks department, do you get a lot of people staring at you our at least glancing at you, then looking back in shear amazement. One of the reasons why I ask this, apart from the fact that you are a very handsome man, seeing you on screen, you look like such a naturally approachable man, your body language is very open and honest. Of course some would look at you because they have seen you in one of your films, but many won't have. Can you inform us of your experiences and thoughts on the issue?: I love to meet open minded people, because in my home country it's so rare. Yes, guys and girls also look at me often and I always smile back, especially if I liked the way they look. I love to meet open minded, intelligent, good looking people and exchange experiences with them.

How did you decide to do porn work for Falcon, why them and not Bel Ami for instance etc?: I was lucky with Mr. Rutherford, he offered me a very good contract, we are still good friends. Honestly I didn't want to work as a model before him.

How do family and friends feel about your porn star work etc?: Everybody who doesn't agree with me or cannot accept this can do me favour...

What was your first porn film and scene and how did you feel about your first time on set all naked, just how did you find the whole process first time around?: I'm a very exhibitionist type, so I didn't care about being naked, but I was very scared that I wouldn't have a hard-on. You can imagine there were 10 people around me waiting for me to get hard, which was not a scene I really enjoyed.

Out of Athens 1 and 2 are amongst some of my favourite Falcon films and as it was the first time I came across both yourself and Johnny Brosnan. I must admit I was totally mesmerized by your screen presence, right from the very second you appeared in the film. What was Brosnan's reaction when he first met you in person?: It was very easy with Johnny, we liked each other from the first moment. Honestly he his not really my type, I like a bit bigger muscles, but his charming personality caught me, I really loved to make those two scenes with him and the time we spent in Greece, was really a highlight of my life.
