Lisa Lhasa Apso 1996/Present Day
My mum and dad bought Lisa a few months
after Truffles died, not to replace Truffles but we've always had dogs
so, we missed the company as well as the unique friendship which would
never be replace by Truffles, but at least a new friend could be gained.
Now Lisa is different the opposite to Truffles, all she wants to be is
a dog. She is more than happy to be a dog, to eat, sleep, bark and do
here doggy thing. My mum and dad got Lisa when I was still living with
them. I moved out a few years after they had got her. But I still see
her when I visit!
Watch
out flowers!
She
got one! lol.
Playing
with a Coke can.
Isn't
she a cutie!
She
has quite a grip and can hold on forever.
If
Lisa is not sleeping or eating she nearly always has something in her
gob!
It's
A Dogs Life
Some
of you have noticed two pictures of dogs in my photographic section of my website
and have asked me about them in e-mails or in chat rooms that I've been using.
So partly due to demand and partly for my own interest I have decided to share
this information with you. I had a great time digging out all my old photographs
and remembering all the good times I've had and having with them.
This
is one of the earliest pics of her. We don't have any puppy ones of her don't
know why. She very quickly learnt what a camera was and what a picture was,
so catching her doing things more naturally involved split second timing,
because she would just go into a model pose (lol). Here you can see here with
one of many jumpers she used t like sleeping on. A lot of her covers ended
up being old jumpers of mine or my mum and dads.
Truffles Yorkshire Terrier 1978/1996
One of the dogs "Truffles" a Yorkshire Terrier sadly died
back in 1996, she was born in 1978, and so she had a good life. In fact she
lived life to the full right from the first day. She was one of those dogs
you only have once in a lifetime. She wanted to be human and would copy so
many things. She learnt things so quickly. She new when you were happy, sad
or even ill and she would be there by your side. I miss here; I grew up with
here as a child. She was my best friend. From time to time I always spare
a thought for her in doggy heaven, hoping she's having lots of fun.
One
of her many close up poses.
When
Truffles first saw one of us washing our hands or faces etc, on a towel, she
would also want to do this. She mainly did this in a morning when she got up.
She would have a good roll around on her towel in the bathroom. It was her way
of waking up, or just feeling more comfortable. We always put her towel on side
of bath so she could get to it (LOL).
Typical,
she didn't know I was taking a picture this time, not until the flash went off
and believe me she got straight up ready to point her face at the camera. But
I managed to get her in the other pic before.
Truffles
could be a light sleeper when she wanted to be. One of many occasions she noticed
I was getting the camera out so she decided to pose again. Because she was small
enough and a very clean dog, she slept on cushions sometimes.
Even
when I got the camera out here she saw me straight away and started to run toawrds
me to pose for camera again. She loved the snow, just before this picture she
was doing a figure eight mad dash around the garden, LOL.
When
we moved from a bungalow back to a house again she went mad wanting to go up
and downstairs. She loved it and it was good exercise for her sometimes too.
Boy was she fast she could really run (lol).
Truffles
had a good mind for time and new almost to the minute when each one of us would
be home and would just go to the door to wait for us. She would even try to
do this if she was ill too. She was so loyal to all of us.
One
of her fews poses for the camera.
The
Lion sleeps tonight, but believe me not for long, LOL.
