Leeds Gay Pride Parade Sunday August 5th 2007

This is the second Leeds Gay Pride and it was my first time ever, never really bothered going to this type of thing and mainly just went to see if I could get any good pictures and it turned out to be a nice day out. It turned out to be the hottest day of the year which made a change from all the rain we have suffered during this summer.

Anyway the first set of pictures below were taken in Millennium Square before the whole thing got going, everyone met there and listened to a few speeches from organisers at around 12.00pm on Sunday afternoon 5th August 2007.

Of course it did not take too long before the parade got under way as you can see from the pictures below. I took so many good pictures I wish I could put them all on here, but to put two hundred pictures on here, it would use too much web space, so I have had to limit them and reduce the quality to get as many on as possible.
Once the parade from Millennium Square onto The Headrow, down Vicar Lane, onto The Calls, it then drew to a finish onto Lower Briggate. Below you will see some photographs I took in the Courtyard between Queens Court and Fibre. This was one of the many after party parades.
Whilst I was in Queens Court I managed to grab two pictures of two guys I liked who had entered this years Mr Gay UK, they had both won their heats in their towns. The blond handsome stud is called Matthew Jones and the cute dark haired Twinkie dreamboat is called Simon Roper.
Sadly I haven't got much more web space. I decided to squeeze a few more pictures, the three below, were taken around the market area which was created around Mission, the area was open as a market for the duration of the Sunday afternoon.
The last few pictures were taken round the back of Xibit outside in the middle of that Sunday afternoon.

Well I hope you like the photographs, it was a lot of fun and hard work taking them, I hope I have managed to capture the mood and the heat of the day and maybe just maybe you might spot yourself or others you might know in the photographs and we will see what happens next year on Sunday August the 3rd.
