Focus On Young Sailors Sally Anne Scott and Callum Scott
I want to introduce a special page for Young Sailors to provide their own articles and to make comments or suggestions on anything they like. A big thank you to Sally-Anne Scott, aged 10, and her brother Callum Scott, aged 8, who get this off to a great start.
Young Sailors course
We have a wayfarer and I have sailed in it loads. It is stable and can hold up to 6 people. I decided I would like to learn how to sail better than I could before I went on the young sailors course and I learnt loads on it.
I have been out since with some of the friends I made at the regatta in a club Topper.
I would like to say a big Thank you to Julie and Steve Gibbon, Viola and Mike Scott, Tom ,Fergus and Jack Holland, Rod Rhodes, Francis Scott, Alan and Will Kemp, Colin Chandler, Jack Wilkinson, Dave Drewery and any one else I might have forgotten. THANK YOU!
I have to mention a special Thank you to Viola for the biscuits she gave us before letting us go out for a sail (thank you!)

Stage 1
On the course you learn how to right a boat when you capsize. You learn how to rig an Oppie or a Topper.
Sometimes you go on a Magnum 21 or a Wayfarer. You go on expeditions, sail around the buoys and play fruits.
It is great fun.
I will be there next year!
Callum Scott, Aged 8
