Singapore is a meeting of four cultures - Malaysian, European, Chinese and Indian.  To call this part of Singapore 'Chinatown' is therefore mis-leading on my part and an English simplification.  This area is a bustle of small and large stores, street markets and Chinese decoration.  It is a picture of colour and the Orient - fabulous.
