Owls overcame a very spirited 10 man Pitstone & Ivinghoe team to earn a comprehensive victory. The first goal came in the second minute when a high cross by Jack Mould from the right was turned into his own net by a Pitstone player. Houghton's early pressure brought a further goal in the eighth minute when Kyle Smith latched on to a high ball over the top to score through the keepers legs. Pitstone and Ivinghoe then  had a purple patch for 20 minutes, dominating play and earning a goal back when one of their fast forwards ran on to put the ball through Nathan Howson's legs. This seemed to spur the Owls on and Craig Treacy scored a hat trick in an eight minute period, his first came when Glen Beasley laid the ball into his path for him to shoot low past the keeper. A high ball in by Kyle saw Craig beat a hesitant keeper to the ball to score easily by the front post. Craig's third right on half time came when Jack's speedy run to a loose ball over on the right saw him cross low for Craig to tap home at the far post.

The Owls started the second half with four changes to their line up with Asa Blackman, Luke Prietzel, Danio De Michele and Nathan Atlay replacing Jamie Blake, Edward Webb, Glen Beasley and Ben Brophy. This did not prevent them starting brightly. Kingsley Kerr's high ball from the left saw Kyle run on, the keeper dived to turn his shot onto the post however Kyle followed up to tap home. Then a corner by Jack saw the ball cleared back out to him, his first time low cross saw Matthew Pearson turn the ball in at the back post. Pitstone & Ivinghoe got another goal back when one of their players went on a nice run evading four challenges from Houghton defenders to slot the ball home. Jack's corner then found an unmarked Matt Pearson who headed powerfully past the keeper. Jamie Blake then went in goal for Nathan who came out to score when Jack's high cross was parried by the keeper for Nathan to latch on and put the ball low into the corner. The Owls had numerous other chances with  Luke Prietzel, Nathan Atlay and Robert Booth all coming close to scoring on a couple of occasions.

Robert Booth edged Man of the Match from both Craig Treacy and Kyle Smith with a gutsy performance both up front and in midfield.
