| Auntie Violet recalls, "Grandma Wall had a hard
life bringing up all those children, but I never heard
her complain. She used to take in washing and cleaned at
the school each day. When I was young I always fancied
being a nurse but when Grandma was ill I changed my mind.
She suffered terribly and I couldn't stand that, seeing
her suffer and not be able to do anything. She had
gangrene in her leg, she didn't deserve that at all." Follow this link for Auntie Violet's memories and photos of her aunts and uncles, the children of Richard and Elizabeth Annie Wall. |
