William Bryning

Baptised at St Michael's Cockerham on 18th May 1777, son of Christopher and Ellin (nee Kirkham) Bryning of Ellel. The Parish Records show William Bryning of Galgate, Silk Comber married Elizabeth Cartmel at Cockerham on 25th November 1799. We know of five children from this marriage Ellen (1802), William (1804), Elizabeth (1811), Henry (1813) and Mark (1815). As only Elizabeth appears on the 1841 Census for Ellel we must assume that William died prior to this date.
