About Us

1st Long Lawford Scout Group was formed in 1970 with a full compliment of a Scout Troop, a Cub Pack and a Beaver Colony. Unfortunately due to a decline in numbers we lost our Scout Troop in September 2001.

We have always held our meetings in the village. For many years we met in the Church Hall but some years ago the village church was declared unsafe and closed and the Church Hall then became a Church. We moved to our current meeting site which is the Memorial Hall.

The Beaver Colony meets on a Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. There are currently 1 Leader, 1 Helper and 7 Beavers in the colony.

The Cub Pack meets on a Monday from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. There are currently 1 Leader, 3 Part-time Helpers and 11 Cubs in the Pack, 7 boys and 4 girls
