Catherine Dennis was born in Norwich on 25th March into a musical family. She went to Taverham Middle School and Broadland High School then on to Norwich City College.

She interrupted working on her own album when her fried the remixer/producer Dancin' Danny D asked Cathy to sing on the track 'C'MON AND GET MY LOVE'.

This became a huge worldwide hit reaching top 10 in the American Billboard Charts. Cathy and Danny co-wrote and recorded the next D-Mob hit 'THAT'S THE WAY OF THE WORLD'.

She settled down to work on her own album and arranged for top producer Nile Rodgers to produce two of the tracks, 'EVERYBODY MOVE' and 'MY BEATING HEART'.

Shep Pettibone - the world's hottest remixer/producer, best known for remixing Madonna's hits, added the final touched to the singles, remixing all but 'TOO MANY WALLS' which Cathy remixed herself.

HERE ARE THE FACTS!

Cathy Dennis is the first British female solo artist to have 4 Top 10 hits in the USA from her first solo album. She won the BEST NEW FEMALE category in the prestigious American Billboard Awards.

She produced 6 out of the 10 tracks on the album and wrote all but one!

When 'MOVE TO THIS' was released in the UK it debuted in the charts at number 3.

During all this activity Cathy has still found time to write songs for her second album which she starts recording in December 1991. So look out for the release of her second album in early summer 1992!*

This kind of achievement, combined with her driving ambition and determined attitude, has made the 22 year old singer currently the most successful female British artist -
WORLDWIDE!!
