Site Dedication
I started compiling this website in the Summer of 2001 for 'a bit of fun'. As it evolved it became something more of a 'coming out' for the club. When my father died in May 2002 it became something else entirely. I don't intend to try and turn it into a shrine but I feel that I need to make some notes for posterity. Not so much solely regarding my father but all those of his and previous generations, many of whom are no longer with us that helped to make this place what it is today, and without whose hard work and determination this Golf Club simply would not exist.
The memorial in the photo above this link was provided by the club after my fathers' death during his term as club president. The birch trees separating the 13th and 14th fairway were planted by him as were many of the others around the course.
Whether you be a first time visitor or a member who plays 7 days a week, spare a thought for those who have made it all possible and for those who continue to do so for our future generations.
With due deference to all those mentioned above I wish to dedicate this site to my Father. Whilst 3 putting could annoy him as much as anyone he purely and simply loved the place, and always believed it was a privilege just to be in such a beautiful location.
I think he was right and I believe you will too.
