'B' Team win Division 2 SHUGC Scratch League

Llanymynech 'B' rounded off a superb performance in this year's scratch league by winning division 2.

Already assured of promotion to division 1 after winning the zone, they progressed to the final by beating Leominster over home and away legs in the semi-final.

The final, over 36 holes at Bridgnorth was not due to be an easy affair against a Shrewsbury side including the current county captain, and ex county captain and a current county 1st team player.

The final scoreline of 5½ - 2½ shows what a sterling effort this was.

Incredibly in the 12 matches (8 group, 2 in the semi and 2 in the final) Llanymynech were never beaten and only held 2-2 twice.
