As a now established tradition, the group again arranged a New Years Day walk from The Ridge Pavillion in Kennington. In the past these walks have been led by one of the Group's founding members, Doug Lycett who's birthday just happens to be on 1 January!!. This year, however in respect of Doug's advancing years the walk was led by the Group's Programme Secretary, Roy Entwistle.
So on January 1st 2003, a number of members gathered in the Pavillion car park in somewhat less than ideal conditions for a walk along by the River Stour. Well done to all the hardy members who undertook the walk in the knowledge of a glorious buffet preprared by Doug's wife Myra on return.
