ASHFORD RAMBLERS Fieldwork

Fieldwork - Sunday 17 March 2002

Barry Lowry organised our fieldwork for the current programme.
The fieldwork was involved in repairing, and in some cases removing old stiles in Great Chart parish that form part of The Greensand Way.
A discussion between the KCC Rights of Way Mid Kent Team at High Halden and the landowner agreed that some of the stiles could be removed in total as the fields in question no longer held livestock. We were very pleased with this response as this is totally in line with the latest Countryside Agency Guidlines for Access top the Countryside.
