Dear Bill Wood
England came from two goals down to pull off a
stunning 4-3 victory over New Zealand earlier today (Friday).
England, with a world ranking of 11 and ranked as the second lowest
team at the start of the tournament, are now guaranteed at least
sixth spot in the 2006 World Cup. England will also finish
higher than the highly rated Netherlands who will have to settle for
either seventh or eighth place.
This is a massive achievement for this young
England squad, many of whom are experiencing their first World
Cup. England will now play Pakistan in the battle for fifth
place on Saturday at 1630 BST.

And don't forget, it's the women's turn next...
their World Cup campaign begins in Madrid on 27 September.
Come on England!
