So all the Wombles got in the car and they started off their convoy. After about an hour or two we were in Oxford and, unfortunately, in front of TESCO. The mums got excited, then we drove on and the kids were excited because there right in front of us, was the great McDonalds!!! We had a lovely lunch and then we drove off to the pitch. Our teams were really good. We played against some local teams, Tilsley Tigers and Witney Then we went to camp and spent an hour setting up the tents and then had a nice barbecue after a long day. Wurzel set up a game of blow football with a tray he ‘borrowed’ from McDonalds. Everyone ended up a bit wet (especially Wurzel). Then, late at night, we at last went to sleep. We woke up the next day and went to TESCO for a fried breakfast. We went to train with the England captain and watched the England vs. Wales match. Unfortunately, the score at the end was 3-0 to Wales. At the end of the Weekend, we went home. Thanks Wurzel and everyone else for the wonderful trip. Nick Moore (9) |
