There was lots of excitment as we met at the recreation centre on Saturday the 14th of July. When everyone had arrived we set off for fakenham where much fun was had bowling. After a bite to eat we went to Sheringham where we were lucky
enough to be able to have a quick walk on the beach before the rain came down. After that we went to a swimming pool, the slide was wicked and so was the wave machine, everyone (even my Mum who dosen't usually go swimming) had a really
good time.When our time was up at the pool we went to the campsite and put our tents up fortunately the weather had improved temporaily so we were able to have a BBQ before a really big storm arrived. During the storm the adults huddled
around the BBQ and the children hid in the tents, eventually it did stop and we were all able to dry out before bed. On sunday we got up and had bacon rolls for breakfast and fortunately the weather had improved and it was a very sunny day. We packed up our tents and belongings and set of for the sports centre at Kings Lyn for a game of hockey where we thrashed the adults by a long way. This was really good fun as the adults were not aloud to tackle us or run and lots of them got sent off for breaking the rules. When the games were over it was time to set of home all tired and sleepy from our fun packed busy weekend. Abigail Donnachie(9) |
