Guitar & Mandolin Double Neck

Since I play both guitar and mandolin as do many others musicians, it would be nice to have both at hand in front of you rather than picking one up and putting the other down. It is a wonderful tool for song writing and quite simply and honestly you would look amazingly cool playing one. It is an instrument that every folk and rock musician needs in their arsenal. The instrument pictured has...

Compound cutaway: The neck's heel tapers as normal and the cutaway comes up flush to the heel, where normally it comes up to a square edge.

This instrument incorporates The Wedge©™, a design innovation by Linda Manzer. Normally with an instrument such as a double neck the instrument sits very up right because of it's width. You can lean over the instrument but that will give you a bad posture. So I applied Linda Manzer's Wedge ©™ design, which she made in 1984 for Pat Metheny's "Pikasso". The idea works wonders especially on this kind of instrument. It makes the instrument comfortable to play and without leaning over you can look down and see both fret boards clearly. The wedge doesn't effect the sound of the instrument either.
