Prices & Ordering

Ordering: My waiting list can vary so contact me for further details. With custom orders almost anything is possible but I do have an options list for most of the standard choices as regards to woods and appointments. If you are interested in ordering an instrument you can either phone or write to me. Sometimes I manage to have the odd instrument in one of the shops listed or immediate sale direct from the workshop. These are instruments I have made for exhibiting or just for indulgence. You are welcome to visit my workshop but by appointment only.

Payment: Payments can be made in British Pound Sterling (£) or Euros (€). Payment by overseas customers can be made by a number of ways, International Banker's Draft/ Cheque/ Check, by Direct Bank Transfer or PayPal. For up to 14 days after delivery if you are unhappy with the instrument in any way you are welcome to return it and have your money refunded except the deposit. If not in original condition, the cost of restoration will be deducted. Reimbursement will follow immediately upon resale of the instrument.
  • Guitars and Mandolins require a £500 deposit and the balance is payable before collection of the instrument.
  • Custom Instruments and Harp Guitars require one third of the total value of the instrument as a non-returnable deposit. Another third before commencing manufacture. The balance is payable before collection of the instrument.

Shipping: Shipping can be arranged and is quoted separately. It can workout cheaper for the customer to organise the shipping. I have had customers come and collect their instrument. On a couple of occasions I have also hand delivered the instrument personally to clients. Customers have come from Australia, Austria, Belgium, England, Finland, France, Holland and the USA (IN, NV, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA).

  • Harp Guitars: Most harp guitars have 6 normal guitar strings and 6 extra bass strings. I have experiance of building harp guitars with up to 30 strings, so if you want more strings then a rough guide as to the cost would be £260 per string. This helps cover the design costs involved with making drawings, templates, jigs, moulds and some of the extra time that is involved with a 'one off' design.
  • Multi necks: For a double neck instrument a rough guide is to half the price of the cheaper instrument and add the two prices together. The double neck design includes cutaways. The design also includes Manzer's Wedge, which makes the instrument more comfortable to hold.
    • A guitar and mandolin double neck £2875
  • Pickups: I use K&K Sound, unless specified by the customer.
  • Strings: All instruments are supplied with D'Addario strings, unless specified by the customer.
