Memories
Here you will find actual memories from players who kindly told me their greatest moment on the pitch. Some of the names will be instantly recognised others not, but each one is special. There memories will hopefully be remembered for future generations, for each of these players have helped shape today's game.
Tony Marchi of Tottenham Hotspur, born 21st January 1933 and played 260 games for Spurs. Tony also played for Torino and Juventus of Italy before going on to Manage Northampton Town. He list's as his most memorable moments:
1, Playing in my debut as a 17 year old in a team with many famous players, before a crowd of 50,000 versus Grimsby Town.
2, Captaining an England B team against a Scotland B team and beating them 5-1.
3, Playing for Tottenham in the European Cup Winners team beating Athletico Madrid 5-1.

My next player is Derek Leck of Northampton Town FC, born on 8th February 1937. Derek's memories are:
1, Scoring on my debut at Exeter City in a 4-3 away win.
2, Scoring in the crucial end of season game against Bolton Wanderers, who were our main challengers to second place and promotion to the 1st Division.
3, Possibly the most memorable was playing in the home game against Manchester United, who had George Best Bobby Charlton and Denis Law playing for them. We drew 1-1 that day.
