I have a PA system, amplifiers, microphones, Takamine and Yamaha acoustic guitars and a Gordon Smith electric - more than adequate for your average village hall but not your average sports stadium. I don't play 'loud'.

I have £2m public liability Insurance in case someone chokes on my words etc.
