Northampton District Scouts St. George's Day Event

On Saturday 23rd April 2005, members of St. Matthews Scout Group were amongst 1500 Scouts from around Northampton who descended on the town centre for a mass rally and service at All Saints Church.

This was not only an opportunity to celebrate St. George's Day but also a chance for the Scouts of Northampton to meet together for the first time following the merging of Northampton East, Northampton West and Brixworth Districts back into one Northampton District on 1st April 2005.

The Colour Party leads the Scouts across Northampton's Market Square.

Northampton Town Centre has not seen such a large gathering of Scouts for a long time.....
