Walking Group Leader Award
Training and Assessment
This is a new award for leaders of walking groups in non-mountainous terrain and has been developed for those wishing to take groups to the wealth of moorland/upland found in the British Isles.   

We will be running several long weekend (3 day) Training and Assessment Courses during the year.

Mountain Leader Award (Summer)
Training and Assessment
These courses are for those people who wish to lead others in the mountains.   It will help you to gain the additional knowledge, experience and self-confidence you need; covering group management, route planning, navigation, use of equipment security on steep ground and environmental/access issues.

The Mountain Leader Award is split into three sections training, consolidation and assessment..

We run  a number of Training and Assessment Courses during the year, these are either a week long course or spread over two long weekends for those people who would be unable to obtain a week away from work.

Single Pitch Award
Training and Assessment
This award is aimed at people who wish to supervise groups of inexperienced climbers on single pitch crags.   As well as technical climbing skills you will also cover group management, choice of venues, access and the impact of our activity on the environment.   The SPA also has three elements, Training, consolidation and assessment.

Refresher Days and Weekends
We run refresher days/weekends on a regular basis for people who have completed the training course for WGLA, MLA (Summer) and the SPA
