Picture untouched The first job to straighten the horizon was done by making a selection of the sea just below the horizon. I then used copy and paste to make a new layer. By selecting the move tool this was then placed over the dipping horizon. We now have a straight horizon.

Deleting the two boats was done with the clone tool. I always find it best to zoom in so the pixels are visible when cloning. It gives more control. Using a hard brush of 13 pixels I then worked on the boat. By changing the area you clone from regularly it gives a more realistic effect.

Picture maniuplated The boat near the shore was a little harder as it was casting a shadow on the shore. The gangplank was also in the way. With objects like these a little more care is needed and brush sizes need to be changed more frequently.

So there you have it, a beach with no boats. Just have to get rid of the people now.
