View My GuestbookAfter losing our dog Jethro (Labrador/Alsation X) we could not imagine another dog taking his place, however after more than 3 years we decided it was time to find another canine companion.
I had seen a program on TV about Greyhounds and thought they would be ideal for us. I heard that there were often Greyhounds available at Battersea Dogs Home Brands Hatch, so we decided to give them a visit. Although they did not have any Greyhounds at that time they did provide me with an information leaflet for RGT Croftview
Before our visit to Croftview we met all their residents on the excellent web site. From the detailed descriptions we were able to shortlist 3 prospective candidates. On our first visit we were immediately attracted to Kevyn, one of our shortlisted. We took him out for a walk and spent some time with him and we knew he was the one so we put a reserve on him. After a home visit and some fence heightening and strengthening we were allowed to bring Kevyn home. He has fitted in so quickly as a member of our family and made our decision to take on another greyhound very easy. So now we have our lovely little girl, Pippa, who has also been a dream and settled in without any problems.
If anyone is considering taking on a dog I can highly recommend a retired or rescued Greyhound as an ideal pet and we have never looked back since Kevyn and now Pippa have joined us. Hope you enjoy your visit, any comments much appreciated.
